Burns' television career began in 1995, when she portrayed Peg as a character on the Spanish American sitcom Out of the Blue. Burns was on the Baywatch team in 1998. After that, she was a part of Baywatch: Hawaii's second Baywatch: Hawaii rendition, until the birth of her child forced her to withdraw from the show.
